Jim Smith Invitational

LaGuardia won the Junior Girls race, led by Naomi Douglas’s blazing victory in 19:20 over the 5k course. Gwyneth Shupp added a stellar 21:41

Clinton School sophomore Melia Murphy finished 2nd in the Sophomore race, running 19:50.

Top 20 finishes: Alexander Jones (Tech) 1st, Dillon Chapuli (Tech) 8th, Ramsey Hansen (Bard) 9th, Oliver Flor (Hunter) 13th, Randy Nieva (Curtis) 17th, Giuseppe Gambino (Construction) 19th

Jones covered the course in 13:16 for the win and the 2nd fastest time over the 4k course on the day.

Top 20 finishes: Preston Kostioukov (MSIT) 7th, Raphael Ramot (Stuyvesant) 11th, Justin Berka (MSIT) 14th.

Hunter’s Jasper Graham finished 2nd in the Sophomore B Race

Jim Smith Invitational

Bronx Science won the Junior Boys race, led by a 1-2 finish by Ben Berman and Liam Hernandez.  LaGuardia’s Ariel Yaron and Ezekiel Cohen finished 3rd and 4th in that same race, respectively.
